Trim Trail / Obstacle Courses
What is a Trim Trail?
A trim trail is a series of connected play components designed to challenge children physically while encouraging imaginative and social play. From balance beams and climbing walls to rope bridges and stepping logs, our trim trails combine elements of fitness, coordination and fun. Whether children are hopping, balancing, climbing or swinging, they are improving their balance, core strength, motor skills and problem-solving abilities, all while enjoying the outdoors.

What makes a good Trim Trail?
A well-designed trim trail includes a variety of elements that challenge and support children’s physical development in different ways. From balance and climbing to agility, coordination, traversing and link components, each section plays an important role in keeping play active, engaging and fun.
Below, you’ll find all the trim trail elements we offer – perfect for school playgrounds, public parks or attraction sites. Whether you’re looking to build a full obstacle course or add a few key pieces to an existing space, we’ve got everything you need to create a trail that suits your site, pupils and play goals.
Design your own trim trail by choosing your favourite elements, or get in touch with our team and we’ll work with you to create the ideal layout for your space, age group and budget.
Interchangeable and Flexible Design
Our trim trails are modular and fully customisable, making them a perfect fit for any space. Whether you need a compact setup for a small school playground or a large adventure course in a public park, we can tailor a solution to suit your needs. You can choose from a wide variety of components to build a trail that supports different ages and abilities, from Early Years through to Key Stage 2 and beyond.
Fun, Functional and Built to Last
Every trim trail we install is built with durability, safety and inclusive play in mind. These structures are not just fun, they support curriculum-based PE lessons, promote healthy outdoor activity and encourage teamwork and communication among children.
We have designed and installed trim trails in schools, parks and community centres across the UK, transforming ordinary play spaces into adventurous and active environments.
