A little about this project
We were excited when a returning school asked us to create a brand-new play area — and we couldn’t wait to help bring their ideas to life!
Together, we designed a fantastic space featuring a fun play tower, a construction zone, a mile-long track, a large sandpit area, a tunnel, and a cosy reading den. Our goal was to build an environment where children could play, learn, and let their imaginations soar.
When the playground was finished, it was wonderful to see the children’s excitement as they explored the tower, crawled through the tunnel, and got creative in the construction zone. Their smiles and laughter made it clear that the new space was a big success!
We’re proud to have worked with the school again and to have created a space that brings so much joy to their pupils.

We had ideas of what the play area would look like but Everyday Play went beyond our expectations. They shared a detailed visual drawing of the fully bespoke area with us and after a couple of alterations, it was agreed and the design came to life.

At Sussex Road School we strive to develop bespoke outdoor environments on a fairly small site. The Everyday Play team have been working closely with us, using their knowledge and skills to safely interpret our somewhat fanciful suggestions, and create imaginative solutions in keeping with the ethos of the school.
