At Everyday Play, we believe the best playgrounds are the ones that are shaped by the children who’ll actually use them. That’s why we usually get pupils involved in the design process whenever we install a new play area – especially when it comes to obstacle courses for schools and trim trails.
Based in Kent, we’ve worked with schools all over the county to create exciting, active play spaces that spark imagination and encourage movement. We’ve found that when children help come up with ideas, the finished playground is not only more fun – it’s more meaningful to them too.
A New Way to Get Involved – Design Your Own Obstacle Course for Schools!
To make it even easier for schools to involve their pupils, we’ve just created a free printable worksheet you can hand out in class. It’s a fun, simple activity where children can draw and plan their own obstacle course or trim trail, using a mix of real equipment ideas and their own imagination.
You can use it as part of a design project, a PE lesson, or just a fun break-time task – and it gives us a brilliant starting point when working with you to plan your playground.
Real Projects, Real Pupil Involvement
If your school is thinking about adding a new obstacle course or trim trail, we’d love to help – and we’d love to see what your pupils come up with using the worksheet!
Get in touch with us to talk about your space, your ideas, and how we can help turn children’s creativity into a playground they’ll be proud of.
