A little about this project
Maidstone Borough Council approached us to revitalise a tired basketball hoop area at Barming Heath. To give the space a new purpose, we removed the old equipment and installed a modern youth shelter. This new addition provides a welcoming space where young people can socialise outdoors in all weather, staying dry and comfortable while enjoying time with friends.

We had ideas of what the play area would look like but Everyday Play went beyond our expectations. They shared a detailed visual drawing of the fully bespoke area with us and after a couple of alterations, it was agreed and the design came to life.

At Sussex Road School we strive to develop bespoke outdoor environments on a fairly small site. The Everyday Play team have been working closely with us, using their knowledge and skills to safely interpret our somewhat fanciful suggestions, and create imaginative solutions in keeping with the ethos of the school.
