A little about this project

We recently completed the design and installation of a bespoke trim trail for a school in Kent. The aim of the project was to create a stimulating outdoor play area that would support children’s physical development while also encouraging problem-solving, confidence building, and teamwork.

Our team worked closely with the school to design a layout that would challenge and engage pupils of varying abilities, while making full use of the available space.

The trim trail was carefully planned with a focus on balance, core strength, motor skills, and cognitive development.

Each element of the trail was chosen to offer a unique challenge – whether it was crossing a balance beam, climbing, or navigating stepping logs, every activity required coordination, focus, and decision-making.

The equipment not only supports physical health but also gives children opportunities to assess risk, build resilience, and interact socially in an active setting.

All components were installed to meet current safety standards, and impact-absorbing surfacing was included where needed to ensure safe play throughout the year. The result is a vibrant, multi-use trail that is already proving popular with pupils, who now have a space where they can move, think, and play in a fun and supportive environment.

This project has transformed an ordinary outdoor space into an engaging zone for learning through movement, and we’re proud to have delivered a resource that will support both education and wellbeing for years to come.
